The Safe Schools Coalition - The Safe Schools Coalition of Washington is working to help Washington State schools become safe places where every family can belong, where every educator can teach, and where every child can learn, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.

Welfare League of America - Committed to promoting the well-being
of children, youth, and their families, and protecting every child
from harm. We envision a future in which families, neighborhoods,
communities, organizations, and governments ensure that all children
and youth are provided with the resources they need to grow into healthy,
contributing members of society. The COPA
Commission - The purpose of the Commission is to "identify
technological or other methods that will help reduce access by minors
to material that is harmful to minors on the Internet." Safeguarding Our Children
- United Mothers - Dedicated to public awareness, prevention
of child abuse, and a resource to those who have been wounded by

Justice and Delinquency Prevention - To provide national leadership,
coordination, and resources to prevent and respond to juvenile delinquency
and victimization by Support ing States and local communities in
efforts to effective prevention and intervention programs and improve
the juvenile justice system, and provides treatment and rehabilitative
services tailored to the needs of families and each individual juvenile. Security On Campus
, Inc. - Is the only national, nonprofit organization geared
to the prevention of campus violence and other crimes. S.O.C. Is
also dedicated to assisting campus crime victims in the enforcement
of their legal rights. Center
for Effective Collaboration and Practice - Support and promote
the development and the adjustment of children with or at risk of
developing serious emotional disturbance. The Center is dedicated
to collaboration at Federal, state, and local levels that contribute
to and facilitates the production, exchange, and use of knowledge
about effective practices. President's
Student Service Challenge - Millions of students volunteer every
day improving communities and making America stronger. The President's
Student Service Challenge is an opportunity for schools, colleges,
and community organizations to recognize these young people for
community service and to encourage more young people to serve. PTA
Schools and Violence - The recent spate of children shooting
children is a symptom of a deeper problem that we may have to dig
at to expose the roots. Were also working in Support of legislation
at the federal level that addresses concerns about providing adequate
funding for after-school programs, the Safe and Drug Free School
Program, and school modernization to make schools safer and better
environments for learning. National Safety Council
- Founded in 1913, the National Safety Council has served as the
premier source of safety and health information in the United States.
The Council started in the workplace -- in factories, warehouses,
construction sites -- making businesses aware of ways to prevent
unintentional injuries on the job. Subsequently, its efforts were
expanded to include highway, community and recreation safety; and
its mission now encompasses all major causes of preventable injuries
and deaths, including occupational and environmental health and
general wellness.
